Accessibility Statement (BFSG)

Proposal Air is committed to making its web application accessible in accordance with the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and EU Directive 2019/882.

This statement applies to the web application at proposalair.io.

Conformance Status

Partially conformant: The web application is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The items listed below are not yet fully implemented.

Non-Accessible Content

The following content is not yet fully accessible for the reasons stated:

Incompatibility with WCAG 2.1 Level AA

  • PDF documents: Generated PDF invoices and proposals may not be fully optimized for screen readers.
  • Contrast checks: Some UI elements in certain color schemes may not meet the required 4.5:1 contrast ratio.

Measures Already Implemented

We have implemented the following accessibility measures:

  • Skip link: A "Skip to content" link allows keyboard users to bypass navigation (WCAG 2.4.1).
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are reachable via keyboard.
  • Screen reader support: ARIA labels and semantic HTML elements are used throughout.
  • Form accessibility: All forms use labeled inputs and meaningful error messages with live regions.
  • Alternative text: Images have descriptive alt text; decorative elements are marked accordingly.
  • Focus management: Visible focus indicators and correct focus order in dialogs and modals.
  • Color schemes: Light and dark mode with contrast-optimized color palettes.
  • Language markup: The HTML lang attribute is correctly set based on the user's language.
  • Responsive design: Mobile-first layout that works on all screen sizes.
  • Automated testing: Playwright-based accessibility tests check ARIA, keyboard navigation, and semantic structure.

Preparation of This Statement

This statement was prepared on February 15, 2026.

The assessment is based on a self-evaluation against WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria and automated testing with Playwright.
